Transforming Agriculture Through Technology
FromyFarm Pty Ltd is a Ugandan-based software start-up subsidiary of an Australian software company also called FromyFarm Pty Ltd. The company has been in operation since 2022.
The Ugandan-base is the software development organisation run by a team of dedicated youth, focused on building digital solutions for agriculture.
Through customised Web Services Management tools, all stakeholders have full visibility downstream of their client activities data (Additions, Updates, Deletions, Transactions) to ensure risk mitigation and management accountability that is verifiable in real-time.
Problems We're Solving
FromyFarm has identified three key problems in Developing Countries that currently prevent smallholding farmers from becoming sustainably profitable farming businesses.
No Single Marketplace
Currently, smallholding farmers in Developing Countries don't have a single online marketplace to trade with global Buyers and Suppliers directly from their farms using customised apps that meet their needs.
No Digital Infrastructure
Currently there are no web-based integrated digital infrastructure that can enable Agribusinesses, Buyers and Suppliers to have traceability and knowledge about the activities of farmers with whom they have contracts.
No Direct Delivery Service
Currently, there are no farm-to-buyer delivery service which would support direct purchases by households, grocery stores, restaurants, while significantly broadening smallholding farmer customer base and reducing reliance on middlemen.
Integrated Digital Infrastructure
Building an integrated digital platform for onboarding smallholding farmers, Buyers, Suppliers and linking them with Agribusinesses, Banking institutions, Cooperatives, NGOs, and Government Institutions.
